Laura Dorantes was born in Mexico 50 years ago. (she is the eldest of two sisters and a brother, her paternal grandfather was an evangelist pastor and her two sisters are pastors in Mexico in addition to her mother who is a retired pastor today). Her call began at age 16 and was affirmed twenty two years ago with the full conviction of love of neighbor and service to God.

She is married to the man of God Ricardo Dorantes for 32 years; mother of three daughters, they married to three wonderful man servants of God. She is the grandmother of seven grandchildren and happy with these beautiful blessings. She has been part of the United Methodist Church for 17 years as a women's leader, Sunday school teacher and director as well,. She was pastor of the Hispanic Ministry at Windsong Christian Center United Methodist Church, local pastor of El Divino Salvador UMC, now pastor of Westlawn UMC San Antonio plus active part on impacto Comunitario. She is a 5th grader at Perkins, SMU School of Theology in Dallas, Texas.

Laura Dorantes, nació en México hace 50 años, (es la mayor de dos hermanas y un hermano, su abuelo paterno fue pastor evangelista y sus dos hermanas son pastoras en México además de su madre que es una pastora retirada hoy día). Su llamado comenzó a los 16 años y fue afirmado hace veintidós años con la plena convicción de amor al prójimo y al servicio de Dios.

Casada por 32 años con un hombre de Dios, madre de tres hijas casadas con tres maravillosos hombres siervos de Dios, es abuela de siete nietos y muy feliz con estas hermosas bendiciones. Ha sido parte de la Iglesia Metodista Unida desde hace 17; años siendo líder de mujeres, maestra y directora de escuela dominical y fue pastora hispana en Windsong Christian Center United Methodist Church; fue pastora local de El Divino Salvador UMC, y hoy día pastora de Westlawn UMC San Antonio, parte activa de Impacto Comunitario, es estudiante del 5º grado del Curso de Estudios en Perkins, SMU escuela de Teología en Dallas, Texas.

Laura Dorantes has a International women's ministry called "Mujer de reino" here in San Antonio linked to Piedras Negras, Mexico. With Facebook broadcasts to countries like Spain, Chile, Peru to name a few.

She is dedicated to ministerial work and her beloved family who serve in different ministerial areas, she loves serving and always sharing Jesus Christ through Gospel and community service.

She is a woman processed by the tests but trusting that God is the one who governs her life. She has a motto of life that I hear for the first time at the age of sixteen that is in Ecclesiastes 9:10 and she says to herself every day."Whatever comes to your hand, do it! according to your strength”.

Loves reading and In her free time, she likes to meet her family and spend time with them; she loves sleepovers with her grandchildren and spending time with them, she likes almost all kinds of food especially Chinese food and enjoys watching movies with her husband some afternoons.

Laura Dorantes forma parte del Ministerio Internacional llamado “Mujer de reino” aquí en San Antonio enlazado con Piedras Negras, México. Con transmisiones en Facebook a países como España, Chile, Perú por citar algunos.

Esta dedicada al trabajo ministerial, su amada familia sirve en diferentes áreas ministeriales, ama servir y siempre estar compartiendo el Evangelio de Jesucristo y sirviendo a la comunidad.

Es una mujer procesada por las pruebas, pero confiada que Dios es el que gobierna su vida. Tiene un lema de vida que escucho por primera vez a los diez y seis años que se encuentra en Eclesiastés 9:10 y se dice cada día a si misma “Todo lo que te viniere a la mano, hazlo! según tus fuerzas”.

Ama la lectura y en sus tiempos libres le gusta reunirse con su familia y compartir tiempo con ellos; le encantan las pijamadas con sus nietos y pasar tiempo con ellos, le gusta casi todo tipo de comida en especial, la comida china y disfruta de ver películas junto a su esposo algunas tardes.
